In class the other day, Alison brought up the idea of "guerilla dinners". The concept is basically this: coming together, cooking with and eating with friends. The idea is to eat locally, frugally, cook together and spend time together. Nice fit into our idea of community. We can take it further by dining in hard to access places, outdoors, etc. We eat together, but don't spend a lot of time cooking together. Isn't the kitchen where the magic really happens?
In the spirit of eating, I think we should post some of our favorite recipes (Brussels Sprouts recipes are even invited to participate), and haikus about food in the comments section. If we get enough, maybe we can start working on an EH cookbook? Go Team!

Food nourishing seeds

Lets eat and give thanks
Also I love this Peanut Butter Ball recipe it is the best, enjoy!
• 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
• 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled, plus 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
• 1 cup creamy peanut butter
• a 12-ounce bag semisweet chocolate chips

Un-named salad
I don’t really do recipes, too much. So, everything to taste:
Fresh Soy Beans, you know, Edamame
Cubed Apple
Dried Cranberries
Diced Onion
Crumbled Feta
Kalamata or Moroccan Olives (optional)
Almonds and / or Pine Nuts
Pomegranate (optional)
NO dressing
Garam Masala Chicken, one of my favorite winter dishes:
One whole chicken
Garam Masala powder
About 8 cloves of garlic
Olive oil
Mix garam masala w/olive oil, cover chicken inside and out. Insert (kindly) cloves of garlic under skin. Let marinate over night.
When ready to roast, put that chicken on a bed of:
Cubed Butternut Squash
Sweet Potatoes
Roasting Potatoes
Red Onion
Baste with Greek Yogurt.
Cook @ (I think) 350 to 400 for awhile.

Avocado pie:
-Graham cracker pie crust (preferably homemade, but not necessary)
-1 can sweetened condensed milk
-1 avocado
-1 tbsp lemon juice
Mix ingredients (sans crust) in food processor and pour into crust.
Best enjoyed chilled and after eating brussel sprouts.
